Assalamu Alaykum
Alhamdullilah, we have made it to the end of the year. It was a year of challenges, but students, parents and teachers came out victorious at the end. We ended the year with vibrant stage performances and as a highlight, the lower year students were splashed in a fun colour run around the oval. Staff also joined in and ended up with bright colours splashed on their clothes and faces too!!
As we are ending the 2022 Academic year, I would like to acknowledge the efforts and going the extra mile by so many students, staff and parents from the Al-Ameen community including support staff alike to make our college to grow and continue to succeed and flourish as a learning community. I also would like to thank the Management team for planning and line leaders who all contributed to the successful running of the Primary school.
Parents, enjoy a well-deserved holiday with your child and come back in 2023 to face the new academic year with a positive and refreshed outlook what promises to be a productive year with a busy school events calendar.

Year 3 Red - Learning is fun !!
Alhumdulilah, we have reached the end of 2022 and what an amazing year it has been. In year 3 we pride ourselves on creating engaging and meaningful educational experiences for students. Students had the privilege of visiting Perth Mint and SciTech. We created a poster on moon phases in science, made milkshakes and pizza for procedure writing and used the iPads to research and write about animals.

Year 6 Violet - Congratulations !!
The 2023 Year 6 Graduation was held with much grandeur and formality. It went smoothly and was indeed a success from the school’s as well as the parents’ perspective. Congratulations everyone.
We all accomplished one of the major early milestones of our lives by graduating. We all worked hard to get to this day, and our work did not go to waste. Our gratitude goes to the all mighty, Allah (SWT). Graduation is not an end goal in itself; it is instead, a part of the larger journey of life. Our graduation should serve as such a launching point to continue our education at high school and the path Allah has planned for us in the future. Written by DUX, Arlav Sirapurna.
This is a joyous moment as well as a sad one. We will all be moving on in our lives and we should all remember to be proud of how far we have come. Have faith in how far we can go. But not forget to enjoy the journey. Written by Student Counsellor, Yasmeen Labib.
Year 9 - A fun filled day out !
The three Year 9 classes celebrated the end of term by spending a fun filled day out. First students attended Ice skating where students were soon gliding around and enjoying the snow flakes falling and limbo on ice that the centre provided. We followed this with a game of bowling, where students showcased their hidden skills.
Digital Technologies
This year, 2022 was indeed a rollercoaster ride through masks and sporadic illness with some wonderful school days in-between. The students from Pre-primary to year 12 had a wonderful learning journey, supported by the digital technology available to them. Yes, I know, when it came to subject choices and picking just the right co-curricular activity, the email sometimes did not work, but in the end we all had just what we needed.
We have seen the big move from paper to screen with most of the national testing (NAPLAN) and competitions (ICAS) where these tests are now completed with the use of computers. Our students navigated the way through the tests with ease, thanks to the digital technology skills that they acquired from their teachers, from primary school right through to high school.
Speaking of the computer based tests, we have now obtained the wonderful Typing Master program in the primary school lab where the students are receiving touch-typing lessons in preparation of the online testing early next year.
The future of technologies is looking very bright for we have our first STEM incursion booked for early next year. Our year 6 students will learn the basics of circuits and coding by using the KodeKLIX system, in the computer lab.
Primary students will experience a revival in the coding lessons with coding critters in the pre-primary classes, blue tooth robots for year 1 and year 2, 3-dimensional, multiplayer game design for year 3 and 4 and a coding adventure for year 5 and 6.
Our high school students will enjoy the benefits of the bring your own device program and we will expand on the coding processes alongside a healthy dose of design with photoshop, animations, video editing and even 3D printing.
I would like to thank all the wonderful teachers that support in delivering all these exciting programs. Without you it simply would not be possible.
