Assalamu-Alaikum Wahrahmatullahi Wahbarakatuh
Alhumdulillah, Term Two has been another very productive Term, clearly evident from all the learning activities and events that took place. These are showcased beautifully in this Newsletter.
Any achievement is ultimately a result of Allah (S.W.T’s) grace, mercy and human effort. There is no shortage of effort with the College having a dynamic Team of dedicated and passionate Teachers and Non-Teaching staff, who work collaboratively to provide the exciting and engaging learning experiences and achieve these great outcomes.
As we approach the beginning of Term Three, our focus shifts to ensuring our Year 12 students reach their full potential. Our Heads of Learning Areas and Year 12 Teachers will work even harder to prepare them for their upcoming final exams and for their future studies and endeavours Insha-Allah, before we bid them farewell.
It is also a very important time for our Year 11 and Year 10 students. Our Year 11 students will be busy preparing for their final year of schooling. Year Ten students will be working very hard to meet the pre-requisites required for the various courses offered, as we approach course selection for 2026. This will be held towards the end of the Term, Insha-Allah.
There are several exciting events that students can look forward to in Term Three. These include Science Week and Book Week. In addition, ICAS and AMC Maths Competitions will also be held together with the much-awaited Arabic Poetry Competition Final.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr Fincy Patrick for her valuable contributions to the College and wish her the very best for her future endeavours. I would also like to thank all my Colleagues for their relentless efforts throughout Semester One and I am confident that Semester Two will be even better, Insha-Allah. Having such a wonderful group of staff makes Al-Ameen a very blessed and special school indeed.
Parents and Guardians play a pivotal role in achieving any success that the College celebrates. I extend my gratitude to all our Parents and Guardians for their invaluable support and patience. I look forward to their continued support and cooperation. Jazaak-Allah.

Supporting Student Wellbeing – Term 2 Highlights
At Al-Ameen College, the wellbeing of our students is not just a department goal—it’s the foundation of everything we do. Throughout Term 2, our Wellbeing Department has remained deeply committed to nurturing a school environment where students feel valued, respected, and supported in every aspect of their journey.
One of our central focuses this term was school attendance. We know that when students show up consistently, they build not only academic momentum but also vital habits of responsibility, routine, and resilience. Every school day matters, and it has been heartening to see so many students making a conscious effort to be present, on time, and ready to learn. We’ve also appreciated the partnership of our families in reinforcing these expectations at home. Together, we are helping our students realise the importance of commitment—day by day, lesson by lesson.
We also continued to strengthen school routines that support safety and harmony. A simple but effective change this term was the earlier gate opening at 2:30pm, giving families more time to collect their children without congestion. This adjustment has significantly eased the afternoon flow and contributed to a calmer end to the school day. That said, we also received feedback from the City of Gosnells regarding ongoing parking issues around the school, particularly on Osten Drive. It’s important to remind families that parking on yellow NO STOPPING lines, stopping on footpaths, or blocking residents’ driveways is not permitted and may result in fines issued by Rangers. By working together and respecting these guidelines, we can ensure our school remains a safe and considerate part of the broader community.
Fridays at Al-Ameen continue to hold special meaning through Abaya Day, a tradition that brings our values of modesty, cultural identity, and unity to life. Each week, it is uplifting to walk through the school and see our girls embracing this day with pride and grace. Abaya Day isn’t about fashion—it’s about intention. It’s a weekly reminder of who we are and what we stand for as a faith-based community. We thank our students for upholding the standards so beautifully, and we thank their families and teachers for reinforcing its significance.
Term 2 was also rich in events that inspired, informed, and connected our students and families. A highlight early in the term was the Student Council Ceremony, where we welcomed our newly elected leaders in the presence of special guests including WA Senator Fatima Payman and Vice-Chairman Dr. Rateb Jneid. The event was filled with pride, inspiration, and encouragement for our future leaders, reminding us all of the potential within our students when we nurture their confidence and voice.
Clear communication around expectations was also a strong focus, especially through our Student Policy Information Sessions held across Primary and High School. These sessions allowed students to revisit key policies in a relatable and respectful way—ranging from punctuality and uniform to behaviour and phone use. What stood out was the level of engagement from the students and staff alike; it was a clear reflection of our shared desire to uphold high standards across the school.
As the world continues to shift digitally, we also recognised the growing need for awareness around online safety and legal responsibility. Our R U Legal? workshops—first for parents and later for senior students—offered practical advice, eye-opening discussions, and valuable resources to help both groups navigate the digital space wisely. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, and it reinforced the power of informed conversations in keeping our young people safe and accountable.
We were also blessed to welcome international visitors from Nurul Fikri Boarding School in Malaysia. Our students and staff embraced the opportunity for cultural exchange with open arms, sharing classes, stories, and laughter. The visit left a meaningful impact and reminded us of the beauty of global friendships built on mutual respect and hospitality.
Then came a special treat—our Mother’s Day Bazaar. Organised by the student-led Girls' and Boys' Night committees, the event turned recess into a lively celebration, with student-run stalls selling handmade gifts, baked goods, and heartfelt tokens for the incredible mothers in our lives. Beyond the buzz and fun, it was a true showcase of student initiative, creativity, and gratitude. We were proud—not just of the funds raised for future events, but of the spirit behind every stall.
Another standout moment was our Eid-ul-Adha celebration. On Friday 6th June, the campus came alive with warmth and festivity. After a beautiful Eid prayer, families gathered to enjoy an array of food trucks serving delicious treats. The grounds were filled with the sounds of children laughing, parents connecting, and our community simply enjoying being together. It was a beautiful reflection of the joy and togetherness that defines Eid—and we’re so thankful to everyone who shared in that special day.
To round off the term, our Resilient Teens Workshops provided an important space for our Year 7 boys and Year 8 girls to explore emotional wellbeing, stress management, and self-confidence. Through guided activities and reflection, students opened up about their challenges and left the sessions feeling more equipped to navigate adolescence with strength and purpose. Seeing our students express themselves and walk away with practical tools was incredibly fulfilling—and reminded us of just how important it is to nurture not just the mind, but the heart.
As we wrap up Term 2, I want to sincerely thank all our students, staff, and families. Your cooperation, trust, and enthusiasm have been the driving force behind everything we’ve achieved. Every event, every initiative, and every success has been made possible by a community that genuinely cares. We look forward to continuing this journey in Term 3—with more opportunities to grow, connect, and support one another along the way.

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,
As we reach the end of Semester 1, I would like to take a moment to reflect on the incredible achievements of our students and the collective efforts of our dedicated staff and supportive parents. Alhamdulillah, this term has been filled with significant milestones that showcase the remarkable progress our students have made in their Islamic education.
First and foremost, I am immensely proud of the progress our students have shown in their Quranic studies. It is heartening to see the fruits of their hard work and dedication. Many of our students have memorized substantial portions of the Quran, and their recitation skills have improved tremendously. Their commitment to understanding and living by the words of Allah (SWT) is truly commendable. I would like to especially acknowledge the role of our Islamic Studies & Quran teachers, under the leadership of Sh Ahmed Senosy, whose tireless efforts have been instrumental in guiding our students on this blessed journey.
In addition to their Quranic achievements, our students have also demonstrated exceptional adab and manners, both in and out of the classroom. The embodiment of Islamic values in their daily interactions is a testament to the strong moral and spiritual foundation they are building here at Al-Ameen College. Their behavior reflects the teachings of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW), and it fills my heart with pride to see them growing into compassionate, respectful, and mindful young Muslims.
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate our staff for their unwavering commitment to the spiritual and academic growth of our students. Your dedication and passion for teaching have been instrumental in nurturing the minds and hearts of our students. I am truly blessed to work alongside such an incredible team.
Lastly, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to our parents. Your ongoing support, involvement, and encouragement are invaluable to us. Together, we are building a strong foundation for our children’s future, and I look forward to continuing this journey together.
May Allah (SWT) bless our students, staff, and families with continued success, good health, and strong iman. I wish you all a restful and blessed break, and I look forward to welcoming you back for another successful term, Insha’Allah.
Wa Alaikum Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.

Respected Parents,
Alhamdulillah, through the Barakah and Grace of Allah (SWT), we have reached the end of another successful, busy, and productive Term 2.
Throughout the term, our Primary School students participated in a variety of incursions and excursions, which were thoroughly enjoyed by students, parents, and teachers alike. These activities play a vital role in student learning, offering opportunities to develop essential social skills such as teamwork, communication, and cooperation. They also help build confidence as students engage with new environments and people.
Highlights of Term 2 included the school camp and swimming activities, which underscored the importance of experiential learning and physical development.
The merit awards for Islamic Studies, Quran, Arabic and other learning areas including Aussie of the Month were well attended by Parents throughout the course of the term 2.
